THE WORLD HAS CHANGED NOW IT IS OUR TURN! Strength no longer implies “muscle”. Strength will be based on intelligence and created by strategy.

Most socio-economic disasters within DEMOCRATIC free markets; have been the result of the continued use of OLD INPUTS, INACTION, DELAYS or DENIAL of ground realities; by decision or policy makers.

Decision makers in democracies are usually backed by the economic power of “special interest” who combine with politicians to form a formidable force that blocks reform and change. (Politicians have a common DNA for indecision).

Within rapid change, the survival of special interest and politicians becomes increasingly dependant on their ability to retain “status quo”. They are able to create damage through their “inaction”; before they can be replaced and voted out.

We have rarely seen a NEW avatar within “special interest or political leadership that is made from a different mould” and willing to WORK FOR CHANGE!! Democracies the World over are searching for “change agents”. This perhaps explains the meteoric rise of President BARACK OBAMA, who won his election running a focused campaign on the single agenda of “Yes we can (bring change)”.

He has to not only overcome the “same system” that has a history of minimal change and one that is ingrained with linear thinking; BUT he has to use that very system to “implement and execute the path breaking change he has promised”.

Outside the Government, he carries an additional burden of the “over expectations of an economically battered citizen”. This will be aggravated by the impatience of a majority who are born post POSTWORLD WAR 2. These post war baby boomers have never experienced “true recession, real economic hardship, and do not understand management of a depression without pills”

The US economy has been the dominant economic power since World War 2 and those born after are in majority today. They are at this time the senior most managers in the midst of a historical economic collapse. This follows 8 years of political incompetence.

This situation was however not created by intent or design. The collapse is the result of the continued stubborn usage of old ideas and rigid linear beliefs; AFTER they had already stopped yielding returns. Their OVERUSE had started to create a new form of chaos”

Academia and Experts remain the source of advice and they usually suggest ideal solutions: which are based on thorough analysis of past events to identify and assign cause of the problem to some “external elements”. THEY then recommend implementation based on new inputs that require huge funds and NEW RESOURCES to OVERCOME the many external elements they have identified.
